Black obsidian mirrors = In pre-Columbian Mexico, obsidian mirrors represented wisdom, knowledge and power. They were also used to know the destiny of men: they were a symbol of the power of the kings that the god Tezcatlipoca had given them.

The most famous ancient mirror is the mirror in the British Museum that arrived in Europe between 1527 and 1530. This mirror belonged to Felipe II, who would have received it as a gift from Mexico, given his interest in the occult sciences.
